Custom Gunite Pool Construction On The Texas Gulf Coast
A custom pool should be designed for your property, engineered for Gulf Coast conditions, and built by one company that answers for all of it. That is how Draeger builds pools.
Custom Pool Builder
A Custom Pool Builder For League City, Pearland, Friendswood & Alvin
Most homeowners only build one pool. You don’t get a practice run, and you shouldn’t need one. Between the designer, the dig crew, the steel, the shotcrete, the plumber, the electrician, the tile setters and the plaster crew, a custom pool involves more trades than almost anything else you’ll ever build at home.
Draeger Outdoor Living takes responsibility for the whole project. We design your pool in 3D, engineer it for your lot, coordinate the permits and every crew, and manage the build from the first stake in the ground to the day you fill it. You have one point of contact and one company accountable for the result.
You choose the pool you want. We make sure it gets built the way it was designed.

Why We Build In Gunite
Gunite pools are built from a reinforced steel cage and pneumatically applied concrete, formed on site to the exact lines of the design. Nothing is dropped in from a mold. That is what makes a true custom pool possible.
- Any shape, size or depth the property calls for, from crisp geometric lines to freeform, natural forms
- Tanning ledges, benches, swim-up bars, beach entries and raised spas built into the structure itself
- Engineered for the clay soils, high water tables and heavy rain events common across Brazoria and Galveston County
- A structure that is designed to last decades, with an interior finish that can be refreshed rather than a shell that has to be replaced

Designed In 3D Before We Break Ground
Every Draeger pool starts as a conversation at your property, not a catalog. We walk the yard, talk honestly about budget and priorities, and then design the pool in 3D so you can see how it sits with your home, your trees and the way the sun crosses the backyard.
From that design comes a detailed, line-item proposal. Every phase and every selection is priced before construction begins, so the number you approve is the number you build to. Clarity up front is how surprises are avoided later.

Everything A Custom Pool Build Requires, Managed By One Builder
Design & Engineering
A custom 3D design for your property, followed by structural engineering that accounts for your soil, drainage and elevation, not a generic plan.
Permits & HOA Approval
City or county permitting, inspections and neighborhood architectural review coordinated for you, with the documentation prepared from the engineered plans.
Excavation, Steel & Shotcrete
Layout and excavation to the design, a steel reinforcement cage tied to engineering, plumbing rough-in, and shotcrete applied to form the pool shell.
Plumbing, Equipment & Electrical
Circulation, filtration, heating for the spa, lighting and automation, sized for the pool and installed by licensed trades.
Tile, Coping & Decking
Waterline tile, coping and the deck or patio around the pool, selected to hold up to Texas sun, Gulf humidity and daily use.
Interior Finish & Startup
The interior finish, fill, chemical startup and a walkthrough of your equipment, so you know how your pool works before the first swim.

Built For Gulf Coast Soil, Storms & Heat
A pool built in Alvin, Pearland or League City is not built on the same ground as one in Arizona. Expansive clay soils move with the seasons, the water table sits close to the surface in much of Galveston County, and a single summer storm can drop several inches of rain in an afternoon.
That is why engineering, drainage and equipment decisions are made for this coast. Steel and shotcrete thickness follow the engineer’s design for your soil. Deck drainage is planned so water leaves the pool area instead of pooling against the house. Equipment and finishes are chosen with heat, humidity and, closer to the bay, salt air in mind.
